DESIGNER CONTRACT’S – NEW YEAR, NEW FACES
Designer Contracts, the UK’s largest flooring contractor, kicks the New Year off with news of four new appointments and a promotion.
Bradley Harris and Mark Caldwell both join the company as sales managers while Luke Monteith further strengthens the sales team following a promotion. Clare Critten and Craig Pearcey have been brought on board to boost its senior contracts staff.
Bradley Harris, who takes on the role of sales manager for the South East region, previously spent 19 years with Carpetright, starting as a part time sales advisor and progressing to a central role in operations where he led all internal communications and performance analysis for the business. He said: “It’s been great to get back into sales which was my original passion and I’m enjoying the change and challenges of the B2B world.” Outside of work he enjoys spending time with family and friends.
Clare Critten also worked for Carpetright before joining Designer Contracts as a senior contracts manager for the Wales and West region. Her career history also includes six years as a regional manager in retail, covering the South West. A keen photographer, Clare owns a Siberian husky called Shadow who keeps her “on my toes with adventures around the Lake District.”
Also joining the senior contracts management team – for the Thames Medway area – is Craig Pearcey whose past employment includes 11 years as production manager for an engineered oak flooring company. A keen football follower and Arsenal fan, Craig says outside of work he is “pretty much taken up with my four-year-old and five-month-old baby.”
Luke Monteith has been promoted to sales manager for the Thames Medway area after three years with Designer Contracts as a sales administrator. He originally got into floorcoverings through fitting flooring with his father. When not working he goes to the gym and plays golf.
New sales manager for the Western Counties region is Mark Caldwell – another former Carpetright employee who was with the company for 23 years, the last 11 as a regional manager working across the south of England and responsible for 22 stores. Married with two children, Mark lives just outside Weymouth in Dorset and says he’s a passionate (now armchair) sports enthusiast and avid supporter of Tottenham.
Said Designer Contract’s managing director Peter Kelsey: “As we head into an exciting new year, we’re delighted to further strengthen our team with the arrival of Bradley, Mark, Clare and Craig and the promotion of Luke. 2025 promises a host of new opportunities for Designer Contracts and we now have the people in place to maximise those prospects.”
